Yet another tea blend, this time the herbs included tone the nervous and digestive systems. chamomile and skullcap are mild sedatives, lemon balm is known for its antiviral, antibacterial, and sedative properties, nettle is an adrenal and digestive tonic, anise and peppermint act as a digestive aids.
Ingredients:
3 parts chamomile
2 parts nettle
1 part skullcap
1 part lemon balm
1 part peppermint
1 part anise
Mix all herbs together in a large bowl. Store in a paper bag or glass jar. Label the container with the date and the ingredients.
To make the tea:
Add 2 T of the herb mixture to a quart canning jar or add 1 tsp of dried herb mixture per cup. Pour boiling water into the jar or teapot. Cap and let infuse for 1-2 hours. Strain herbs and drink. Any leftover prepared tea may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 36 hours.
